About Project
Our societies face new challenges, such as an expanding intercultural dimension that, unfortunately, is frequently associated with an increase in social conflicts and integration difficulties; the rampant spread of poverty and inequalities, resulting in an intensive marginalisation phenomenon; widespread dissatisfaction and skepticism about the future, particularly among young people, due to a lack of work and effective tools to combat unemployment, and so on. The initiative was born out of the awareness that social entrepreneurship is critical in today's cultures and that equipping young people with social entrepreneurship skills may help them improve their career prospects while also creating inclusive communities.
According to the European Economic and Social Committee, «social entrepreneurship is inextricably related to the EU 2027 strategy and contributes significantly to society». We want to collaborate with young people who are unemployed, marginalized, or socially excluded. This project will train them on ways for fostering social entrepreneurial abilities in youth and enticing jobless youth to pursue education, employment, and civic engagement. The initiative addressed several areas of company establishment, including the preparation, development, and finalization of a business plan, as well as EU financing sources and leadership training.
Project Aims
- Youth workers and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds will be the primary focus of this project, which will focus on rural communities with significant cultural assets and little entrepreneurial knowledge.
- Non-formal learning strategies based on the methodology will be implemented for the development of social entrepreneurial abilities.
- An extensive map of national stakeholders in each partner country's Social Entrepreneurship for young people will be created, which will serve as a guide in the sector.
Expected Results
- This project Activity will provide the participants with skills solve the challenges presented by real-life entrepreneurship.
- Going beyond merely allowing participants to meet and talk with successful businessmen, the project will provide training and shared experience with entrepreneurship learning tools - what they are and how to use them.
- The Activity participants will use case studies, role-play and theatre to develop an attentive and professional approach to business.
- They will compare and analyse entrepreneurship methods from their own countries, and prepare methodological guidelines for moderators to create custom-designed low-cost business simulations.
- The businessmen, coaches and youth leaders will be involved throughout as advisers.
- The project Activity will offer examples of managing firms in different market environments, incorporating social responsibility factors and the importance of human resource management.
- It will also give participants a valuable experience of working as a team — moreover an international team in which each have to adapt to the needs of the group.
Meetings
Our S.E.S project aims to promote active citizenship, encourage the sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship among young people. The first activity of our project took place in Svelgen, Norway, from 9th to 12th January 2023. Throughout the project, discussions were held on Sustainable Entrepreneurship, NEET, and Sustainable Development Goals. Participants discussed what was being done in their own countries regarding the topic and what could be done in the future. Additionally, the project had a great and effective start with practical social entrepreneurship examples in Svelgen.

In the third training course, we met with real-life social entrepreneurs. This ‘Living Library’ of entrepreneurs gave us the chance to hear firsthand about the challenges and successes they encountered. Their stories were incredibly inspiring and showed us that with resilience and innovation, we too could create impactful projects.

Our last training focused on the future - how we can use the skills and knowledge we’ve gained to build our own social enterprises. We explored various entrepreneurial competencies, including creativity, innovation, and the importance of networking. This course was particularly empowering as it encouraged us to think critically about the needs in our own communities and how we can address them through entrepreneurial initiatives.
