About the Project
Street Football for Tolerance is an innovative project that uses football as a tool to reinforce societal values. The project aims to instill values such as sportsmanship, cooperation, sharing, tolerance, and social harmony in young people while fostering lasting behavioral changes.
The specially designed game rules prioritize Fair Play behaviors over athletic success. Matches are played on 10x15-meter fields with teams of three players, where respect for opponents and sportsmanship are rewarded with Fair Play points. The winning team is the one that accumulates the most Fair Play points.
The target audience of the project includes children and young people aged 6 to 18. Throughout the project, a total of 128 teams and 640 students actively participated, and awards were presented in both Fair Play and athletic success categories. Additionally, participants received various treats and gifts, and a nature hike and barbecue event were organized as part of the project.
The "Street Football for Tolerance" project was honored with the TURKEY FAIR PLAY award by the Turkish National Olympic Committee and achieved significant national success. The project continues to contribute to spreading social harmony and tolerance through football.
