The main goal of the Caretta Caretta Monitoring and Protection Project, conducted in Antalya's Demre district between May 15 and September 14, 2024, is to protect the habitats of endangered sea turtles and sustainably increase their populations. To achieve this goal, the project includes various components such as identifying and protecting nesting areas, monitoring populations and collecting scientific data, providing education and awareness activities for volunteers involved through local communities and ESC, assessing and addressing threats, and developing long-term sustainable conservation strategies. With this comprehensive approach to protecting Caretta Caretta turtles, the project aims to ensure the ecological and biological continuation of the species.
